NINASAM CULTURE COURSE 2017
One of Ninasam’s important activities for more than last 2 decades has been the Culture Course, conducted every October.
This year, in 2017, Ninasam plans to conduct the Culture Course from 1st to 5th October (5 days). Several important writers and thinkers from Karnataka and elsewhere will be taking part as resource persons, and some 150 participants are likely to attend the course. The Course is designed around a specific theme every year, and organised as a combination of special lectures on the theme, lecture-demonstration-discussions on fundamentals of appreciation of art forms like literature, theatre, film, music, dance, and so on -all this during the day-sessions, and a series of performances in the evenings.
Fee towards board, lodging & entrance: Rs. 4,500 (for 5 days)
Concessional Fee for students: Rs. 3,500 (A letter from the head of the educational Institution to be submitted)

Information to Participants
* This workshop is intended primarily for cultural activists from rural and semi urban parts of Karnataka. But it is open to anyone who has a general interest in cultural activities. Some lectures and presentations will be in English, and a Kannada translation is provided when necessary.
* Many of the sessions and performances in the workshop will be in Kannada, and therefore, those who can not understand Kannada will have a disadvantage.
* Those who wish to apply could either get the application form from our office; or could download it here; and post the filled in application with necessary details, before September 5th 2017. Those who are selected will be intimated. Online application facility is also available in the “Apply Online” tab on the top of this page.
* Total Fee to cover food, lodging and entrance fee for evening programs for all 5 days is Rs. 4500. Students, with certificates from the heads of institutions pay a concessional fee of Rs. 3500. This has to be paid through a DD in favor of Ninasam, Heggodu Payable at Karnataka Bank, Heggodu or any other banks, at Sagara (Shimoga district, Karnataka) branch.
* All participants must attend all the days; partial participation is not allowed.
